How do I adjust the water level in my tank?

Answer:

To adjust the water level in an American Standard toilet tank with our Universal Toilet Water Fill Valve please follow the steps below.

  1. Remove the tank lid to access the fill valve.
  2. Locate the adjustment screw on the side of the fill valve.
  3. Turning the screw counterclockwise lowers the water level, turning it clockwise increases the water level.
  4. After making the necessary adjustments, flush the toilet.
  5. The tank should now fill to the set water level, which should be approximately 1/4"-1/2"  below the top of the overflow tube.
